Motivator Pembanguan Masyarakat (MPM) in the German Parliament
On the sidelines of the UNFCCC COP-27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, Tandu Ramba' on behalf of the Community Development Motivator took the opportunity to have a brief conversation with Ms. Kathren Henneberger, a member of the German parliament at the Germany Pavilion on November 16, 2022..
The discussion was very efficient and got some important points such as how the parliament will hold talks with the German government so that community organizations such as Community Development Motivators are given access to renewable energy conversion funding for Indonesia which has been agreed upon at the G20 Summit in Bali in the amount of 20 billion US dollars to support Indonesia's efforts reducing emissions, developing new and renewable energy networks, and helping workers affected by power plant closure policies.
Other things that were agreed upon were that a public hearing would be held in Germany by inviting MPM to participate so that the world community, especially the German people, would realize how massively climate change had an impact on people's lives in developing countries, especially small farmers.
He hopes that at COP28, the MPM will join forces with the German parliament to hold a press conference on the importance of non-governmental organizations in carrying out real actions in climate change adaptation and mitigation.
